.old. friends.

this past weekend we went to my friends' daughters' birthday party, whew what a mouth full, ya got that.... well Vicki and I had been really great friends in 7th grade through out high school. she moved to Virginia and we lost contact as a lot of people do out of high school.

well through "myspace" she found me! and what a delight it has been to get reconnected with people I have lost touch with... i am very grateful for "myspace" for these reasons. I have been able to contact and be contacted by some very important people in my life!

At the birthday party I was able to see 5 friends from high school. It was a blast to see how we have all grown into women and many of us now have families of our own...

.enjoy the little things.

we have realized so much lately.... that life is short. i know this sounds cliche to say, but it is one of the most important statements to realize i life right now. so we have spent a lot of time doing the little things....... baking cookies, just because the girls think its fun, Lord knows we don't need the calories! but seriously, we baked every day last week! that could get interesting, now couldn't it :) but really. we are trying to slow down, and enjoy each others company, and to be a family. it is so hard sometimes to not get caught up in all there is to do on a daily basis... the piles and piles of laundry sitting there, the dust that might be collecting on the shelf. i heave learned to try and let all that go sometimes! i used to be real anal, but i am trying to realize that each day i spend enjoying my family is more important than a clean house.... a few wise people have shown me this importance. so anyhow, what i mean to say, is take a look around. slow down. hug your kids extra today. play in the rain like we did last night- i mean, so you get wet, but who cares, its fun after all. maybe do something you wouldn't normally do. stretch yourself. and enjoy those around you. we love you and hey, have a good weekend!

.the brewer family.

Here is our new website. we stopped using the old one.... this site will be more user friendly, and easier for us to post to.... hope it works to keep everyone in the loop.... i have enjoyed blogging for the last few years and look forward to using this new site as a tool to keep everyone informed on the happenings of us :) Here you will find updated information about whats happening in our neck of the woods.... check here as often as you like, as we will try and update it weekly. We figured it is a great way to let you all know what is going on in the lives of our family! And hey, maybe it will enourage you to set up a site too, so we can all get to know one another a little better. This way, those near or far feel like the can connect with us in a different way, and possibly learn something new about us along the way... We love you and look forward to sharing our lives with you....

.howie chow brewer.

so......................... this last christmas eric decided that he would suprise us all...... we go to the mall regularly to visit the pet store. we play with a few of the puppies and we come home. we dont have to clean up after these puppies, and we dont have to feed them, or bathe them.... it is a pretty sweet deal actually....

well a few days before christmas, eric said, lets go to the mall to get the last minute things we need for christmas. i said, fine, that sounds great....

we loaded the kids in the car, and off we went. we went to the pet store. caelan saw one she liked right away.... she has a thing for the yorkies, just like i do.... so the guy says, do you want to hold it, she says "uh-huh." sooooooooo..... then i tell caelan to give it back because he was already sold, eric informed caelan that it was hers! this was a huge shock. I wasnt thinking we should be getting a puppy-but for about 10 years I have wanted one... so we brought it home, and I admit I wasnt the happiest girl on the street, but that next day I was......... because it doesnt take long to fall in love with a puppy! just look at that face..... so caelan named him Howie Chow... who knows. We didnt ask... just nodded and said, Howie Chow it is... :)
