nana and papa visit!

busy busy week with erics parents here for a visit! their first time to our new house.... such a busy week! i had several frame orders to fill, so we worked on those.... i had to work two 4 hour shifts at pier one... (oh, yeah, i got a job.... seasonal job for fun, and a great discount)  eric worked monday and tuesday.... we wandered, shopped, ate a ton of amazing food, both at home and out places.... we played games, walked, went to the Lighting Ceremony downtown..... crazy busy, but a fun week!

so thankful for the time.... and for the fact that they DROVE all this way to be with us for thanksgiving.

they brought handmade ornaments that they've made each year.... a tradition.... so that was fun to be able to have the girls get those in person, versus in the mail :) oh, and they gave me a neat thanksgiving plate! which i put out right away! :) and we gave them their christmas present early....  a frame, of course.... :) such a neat one to have made for them.... and super excited they loved it :) safe travels home for them as they left at 5 this morning! such an early start to a very long 25 hour drive....

2nd place!!!

Caelan and her friend submitted to "invent Idaho"..... An invention for people with PTSD.... It's called the PTSD operator.... A bracelet and and ear piece. The bracelet would check the pulse and when the pulse spikes music begins playing on the ear piece so it calms the individual..... So awesome that they did an invention to help this huge need! And so cool that caelan mentioned people that have fought in the war that need help.... Love her heart, and love her desire to help change the world! Its so deep and wide, her love for others. So proud they placed 2nd in the whole school and now they go to the next round and compete with other schools in the district.....

In addition to frames, we've been working on the house...... I also attended the thanksgiving feast at the girls' school yesterday which was super neat! Full thanksgiving meal with other parents, grandparents and teachers. Love love love our school and community!
And then there is Riley and Lola..... Those two sure have a deep love for one another! Love that special bond!

More house Reno

Renovations still happening at our house, and they will for a lonnnngggg time! Lol! This last weekend we used that free wood to complete our mantel, and a ledge in the stairwell..... I also did a faux treatment on the bricks to take the deep and bright red tones out! So excited about getting more of the projects done on our list, even more happy that these projects have cost us nothing! Love free stuff! Progress is happening!
