april 30 2010 new living room arrangement

we'll see how long this lasts. but for now this is how the living room is.... we move things around a lot in this house, and all the houses we live in for that matter. i love changing stuff around. it keeps it interesting. and gives new excitement to space. ;)

a prayer for a friend.

we are asking for prayer.

this is so heavy on my heart that i just had to take this time to reach out and ask for you to pray.

we have a family that really needs your prayers. they are friends of my parents.... the wife of my parents friends have a sister....

well, yesterday she was eating lunch at the park, like she loved to do.... and well, a few people stumbled upon her laying passed out.... they called 911 right away.... they also saw her cell phone sitting there and began dialing people on the cell phone and got a hold of my moms friend..... the people told her about the lady they found, which was her sister.

they got to the hospital and ran tests and found she had a brain aneurysm. things do not appear to look to good at this point.... :(

they shut off the life support last night once all of the family was able to gather together at the hospital.

she is hanging on at this point....

please pray. pray for the whole situation. it is such a horrible horrible tragedy.

pray for God to reveal himself....

we never know why things happen, and people always say, "things happen for a reason" but this doesn't bring much comfort when you are experiencing tragedy such as this.
please pray God would grant them peace, and comfort, Gods comfort is the most amazing thing ever. Gods healing. God's hand to be upon this situation.

please pray.

please just pray.

for all of it.

april 29 2010 concert at school for caelan

catching up.

So much going on! I have lots to catch up on!!!! Caelan had her first grade performance at school tonight! We went rollerskating last week for the girls' friend Evans 7th bday party. Still need to blog about the flower show I went to a few weeks ago.... Just registered Riley for kindergarten. Whew. Updates updates updates! Lots to write about! Keep checking back, hopefully I will write more tomorrow if I get time to sit at the computer. Blogging through the iPhone is great but sometimes i like using a keyboard and the good ol' fashion computer!!!! Happy Its friday tomorrow!!!!

april 25 2010 nate's birthday. the big 3-0

curly hair

i have been wearing my hair curly now. hummmmm. we'll see how this works. for now i like the ease in getting ready- its much faster this way, versus flat ironing etc. :)

april 27 2010 kindergarten. really?

time flies. i registered riley for kindergarten today.

april 26 2010 moved our room to the upstairs room.

girls are downstairs now. we moved them out of the room upstairs.... this made it so much better.....
now the big basement is all theirs, along with a guest bedroom that is down there and a bathroom + laundry room.....
i love this change! i wish we had done it like this all along! so refreshing not tripping over toys all the time. now they can just have the whole space down there instead of lugging everything down there to play anyway!

thirty five years!

my parents have been married 35 years! tomorrow is the big day!

katie moore.

It was so exciting to see Katie Moore this past weekend!!!! Katie moore attended living hope church in Dana point and when we atteneded there she worked with the childrens dept and my girls loved her!!!!!!!! Anyhow, Katie moved back up to the portland area and was in Spokane visiting friends.... And I got to be one of those friends she visited!!!!! So much fun!!!!! It was a pure delight!!!!! She also brought two of her friends along and their kids.... And such a small world that one of her friends Emily is really good friends with erics cousin Amy that lives up here in spokane!!!! It was a blast connecting all of the pieces and having Dinner with these girls!!!! Thanks Katie for hanging out and making the time to connect!!!!! It was a blessing!!!!!

april 24 2010 roller skating for the first time for their friends bday party

evan turned 7 so we went to celebrate his birthday at skate plaza.
the girls had never been roller skating before!
eric had to help with prom for school so it was just me and the kids. luckily andrea and kyle were there to help with the girls! :)

CUSD TEACHER STRIKE - The Real Story 4-23-2010

school districts all over the nation are struggling.... every school has its set backs. sadly Capistrano unified is really suffering....
please pray for the schools and the districts in our nation. pray for our leaders. pray for our students.
pray for resolve in this very very tough economy.
we are so saddened with the cut backs in California. so sad for our family members and friends working in these such places that have such repercussions.

pray. pray for our economy. so many of us are suffering in huge ways. we must be able to provide for our family. God will provide all of our needs. pray He will continue to walk along side us and take care of our every needs.

The tulips are coming up!!!! Can't wait till they begin to open! The peonies I had put in are also returning! I love gardening in Idaho! Our food garden is also a new project we will beginning this week and next so stay tuned for those pix and info....

Coversations with kids. This time with caelan.

Caelan: mom and dad, guess what??? Rylie (not our riley but caelans friend rylie at school) and Bailey told me that mc Kenzie put up a sign at school that says: "mc Kenzie is going to digit school today."

Mom and dad: (at the same time asked) "digit? What do u mean digit the school????"

Caelan: "meaning she's gonna just leave the school!!! Just leave the school, just for today! Can u believe it??? She can just leave can she???? We were all like what?"

(yes she talks just like this and said exactly this)

Dads response: oh u mean "ditch" school? She's gonna ditch school today?and she put a sign up and told everyone?

(mom is laughing so loud right now as dad proceeds to not laugh)

Moms response: so how old is this mc Kenzie???

Caelan: "you can say she's about seven, yeah seven. She's in my grade and in my class."

Moms thoughts: wow that starts at a young age these days! Crazy kids!!!!! Lol
