Rainy days at the bus stop
Kate and Caelan were dressed the same today, hair up in two buns and cream fuzzy jackets.... Therese and Riley both had pigtails and pink fuzzy jackets.... We had to get a photo of the twins today and all by coincidence!
Conversations with kids
Conversation:
Caelan: mom can we buy yogurts?
Riley: don't you like the gogurts we just bought at Costco?
Caelan: no, Riley. I reckon that there is only one flavor in the gogurts and I would like different options please.

Silverwood theme park.
Silverwood theme park is an amusement park here in north Idaho that is open in the summer months. Each year they hire employees to run the park, and today was the training day "dry run" for employees to practice working the rides and working in the shops etc to a small amount of people to get the feel for what it'll be like when the park opens..... So only a very small amount of people got to go. They gave employees a small amount of tickets that they could give to family or friends.... Erics coworker Jennifer has a daughter Sarah thats assistant manager in a shop there and Sarah gave us her four tickets! So we enjoyed a free day at the park!!!! There were hardly anybody there!!!!! Riley went on tremors the huge wooden roller coaster!!!! Her first rollercoaster, Caelan wasn't so into the idea so I sat out with her ;)

Tulips
Daffodils are almost done, and now the Tulips are up. Love the different things in the garden that are now starting to cycle through the yard.

Moda: "sonnet" quilt
When we vacationed in Idaho 5 years ago I bought this moda: sonnet quilt kit! It's been in a tub with my to do list of projects ever since! Well, I finished it today!!!!! I'm so excited! I quilted it on my neighbors long arm a few weeks ago and was able to do the binding the last few days. It's now in the washing machine...... Can't wait to see it all washed and dried! ;) this is so therapeutic sewing quilts, and I can't wait to start my next one! It's so rewarding!
Oh, and...
Caelan is doing ok. Yesterday she woke up in extreme pain, in fact she was throwing up she hurt so bad! She was hysterical.... Sad stuff. Today she is doing a little better. It's hard because she wants to skip, and jump, and run..... And can just barely walk.... It's gonna take some time..... It's so hard watching her go through this, so sad. :( wish I could fix it all and make her legs strong again.
Timing.
Eric has applied for about 20 jobs now. We've heard one, "we have found another candidate and appreciate you applying....." but haven't heard anything from the rest. Eric has also applied to 2 different doctorate programs and still have not heard back from either yet.... A lot of waiting..... And more waiting..... Hoping and praying soon we will hear something..... We are so ready to move forward. ;) BUT we understand Gods timing is not ours, and we trust His timing is best. ;)

Best!
This is the best she said. Actually she's correcting me and reminding me her exact quote first was, "ahhhh, this is the life." then she explained, "this is the best."
Bruising and scars.
The incision sites are still very bruised and tender.... We'll have to watch the calves and make sure theres no swelling from here on out. It's still tender for her. Little by little we are making progress. ;)
Casts off
Cast are off, she's really really sore. A lot of blisters and blood blisters.... Bruising..... Glad we came in. The mesh inside was all bunched up at the heel creating huge blood blisters :( she'll have the walker for a few months and we'll work on physical therapy stuff at home.... Thank u Lord for Shriners! Thank you Lord that you have given this facility to help kids..... My Caelan is blessed by this.... And we in turn are blessed. What an amazing gift..... Thank you Lord for directing our paths to Idaho where the doctor diagnosed this whole ordeal at her "well check" for school. Thank you Lord for all you provide for our needs. We are thankful for all the ways you work in our lives. Amen.
Shriners.
Caelan woke up quite a bit last night in pain with her legs... I called the doc and they said to bring her right in. I picked her up from school and we headed over here.... Now we are just sitting here waiting. She's due for her appt Monday to get the casts off.... I'm praying they take them off today. I'm So worried about all the pain shes been having.... And overwhelmed with how she'll feel when they get the casts off. They said its gonna be painful..... Think about when you may have pulled a muscle how bad is hurts, well they CUT her muscles! And she's got to do physical therapy to gain strength back in the muscles when the casts come off :(

Riley's school concert was tonight. Western theme. She did so well! She had a few key parts in the performance as well as singing as a whole first grade, multiple songs. It was adorable.... Wish our families could have come and seen it. Sigh.

Today, it's cold and rainy. Again. I miss my family. I miss familiar things. It's hard living away. It'll be 3 years. Long time. BUT those three years have been filled with a lot of beautiful things too. It's not all bad ;) today I'm just feeling sad and lonely for Cali. This week. Well, this month.... Well, this year. Its been a hard year of surgeries, illnesses, and not too many visits. The economy is tight therefore family doesn't have money to come visit and we don't have the money to go down there. It's tough. Hard stuff. But the sun shine will come soon, and summer will
Be here. Summer is an amazing time up here. Love living life on the lakes and sunbathing, eating meals outside and the kids playing all day! Eric is off all summer.... Time for rest and rejuvenation!
