Surgery day

What are the chances.... Two surgeries on these kids today.... When caelan had her last ER trip for her seizures they did a full work up.... In the process they found an umbilical hernia..... When at the pre-op appt I asked the doctor how would we have known.... I was feeling bad and hard on myself that an almost 11 year old never got this type of thing taken care of.... Doc said surgeries for this are typically around age 4..... He said we wouldn't have known and asked if I wanted him to show me by having me feel her Tummy..... I said yes, I couldn't tell the abnormality so he said, "here have your other daughter come here and lay down and I'll show show you the difference...." He then said, "oh goodness, she's got it too!"
So, they added her to the schedule that day and we decided to have both surgeries at the same place..... 45 minutes apart we scheduled it to get it all taken care of at once.... Nerve wracking, yes, but praying through it all.... God is near. We feel his presence. This place is amazing. The docs have been awesome, thankful for "children's hospitals!".... They've let then check their heart rates, blood pressures etc..... Allowed them to pick a balloon color so when they are told to count sheep instead they'll start to blow up the balloon as they fall asleep..... So thankful. For all of it. Great insurance!!! A husband that was able to take off work..... The 4 day weekend, we weren't aware of when we scheduled surgery.... God knew all along that awesome orchestration of that!!!! ;)

Whitemans!

We met the whitemans at Orphan Sunday last year. They adopted Eli from Ethiopia over a year ago. We've got such a special bond with this family. So thankful for them and how they encourage us on our journey towards bringing Isaac home. ;)

Best friends!

They've been friends for over 5 years.... Such an enormous amount of memories these girls have made. Such neat times.

hear our cries... Lord. please be near to Isaac.

heard this song again today.... it is funny how you can hear a song a thousand times but sometimes it strikes you in a different place in life and the song takes on a whole new meaning....this song did just that to me today... as we prepared clothes to sell, gathered yard sale items, i felt a heavy heart... i heavy heart for Isaac who is sill waiting... waiting for a family to step in for him... to claim him as theirs.... we want so badly to claim him, but we lack the funds necessary at this time... we have applied for a grant... please please, be on your knees that we get this grant.... please, be on your knees for isaac.... he deserves so much more in life, than watching child after child leave the orphanage, while he still waits for his forever family.... he has spent way way too many days in this orphanage.... no child should have to be orphaned... if we stepped in and took a hold of these precious children, they could thrive on the love they would be given, a sense of belonging, a sense of hope....Lord, hear our cries. Sweet Isaac, we love you, and don't even know you yet.... but what we do know, is Jesus has stepped in grabbed our hearts for you.... we are doing all we can, buddy. we are trying every way we know how, to bring you home with us.....please pray. pray on behalf of isaac. and the orphans in this world....they all deserve so much more.... we all deserve a family.may we be his.
Lord, be near. wrap your arms around him. give him love like only you can give.... Lord, help ease his fears and protect him. protect his spirit.... Lord, give him joy, knowing someone is coming for him.... may it be us. Lord, your will be done.amen-megan
Lyrics to While I'm WaitingJohn WallerI'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

Soccer!

Soccer!!! Caelan scored her 1st goal this weekend!! It was so exciting!!!!!! Kate passed her the best pass, and she was lined up and nailed the ball right in!!!! It was awesome!!!!!! She's had such a great coach this season and he's worked so hard with the team!

Silly girls!

The girls were so silly!!! I snapped a few pictures.... We go to del taco every Friday night after church for 99 cent red burritos ;)

Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2014....
Pancakes and hot coffee.... Slept in till 8.
Worked in the yard. Cleaned up the trees and mess from cutting down trees.... Eric borrowed his buddy's trailer! Made it easy to haul it all away!
Planted tomato seeds and bulbs and flower seeds.... Mowed the lawn for the 1st time this season. (Borrowed our neighbors lawn mower since we don't have one.... Sold ours last year--- it was broken) It was a gorgeous day! About 68 degrees.... Yesterday Riley got sick.... She threw up all over the inside of Eric's truck on the way home from our friends house so Riley took it easy all day today. She laid in the yard in her pjs will 4pm..... About 5 or so we got cleaned up and headed down town to Coeur d Alene to the new park in town. We met Katie and mike and the kids. The kids played at fort Sherman park then we headed to the new McCuen park.... The sun shined all day and the sun felt great! Missed being with our moms this year though. Missed our moms a lot!

Anyhow.... At church Friday night they passed out roses to all the ladies.... Very neat how they did that for all ladies!!!
