sleep over!

for the first time ever the girls spent TWO NIGHTS AWAY....

i needed this time so badly. we needed this time so badly.... to catch up on chores, to catch up with one-on-one conversations for eric and i, to rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow. it was amazing.... i didnt realize how badly i needed this time. it has made me realize that time away is healthy and it helps me be a better mom because if i am not taking care of myself than how can i possibly care for two kids! when they came home my heart melted and i felt rejuvinated! the house was quiet and at times it was uncomfortable but the quiet time spennt in prayer, thought etc. was very important! here are the pix of the girls at erics parents in fallbrook, ca.... so adorable!

the girls helped! mike and mary had a driveway put in the days caelan and riley were there so that made for some fun watching them do it all!

caelan loves our new Kari Jobe cd that we purchased on-line... she knows all of the songs! it is amazing seeing your kids singing to Jesus.... amazing!

celebrations...

my parents have been married for 33 years.... my sister turned 30 years.... so we went out for sushi at Sho-gun on April 26th.....

yuma, az.

we went to Yuma, AZ to surprise Eric's grandma... she ended up being very sick and in the hospital so we went to see her.... she is doing better now though... we went out there April 24Th for the day---- long drive for a turn around trip... we'll have to go back and see her when things settle down a bit! we're praying God continues to heal her.... she is such a lovely lady.... i admire her in a thousand ways... she is something! we adore her! the girls do to.... we are happy she is living closer now that she has moved from Washington state to Arizona.... now we have chances to spend more time with her since the drive isn't so long :) hee-hee....

Eric wrapped up his last basketball game, i wrapped up my last M.O.P.S session until FALL.... things are settling down for the summer....

shoes i made. a fun new project for me to do... buy the sandals and embellish!

april 10th...... kelli and her son gavin hung out with us.... the kids have so much fun together and we enjoy all of the chatting. on a side note, kelli and jason are such amazing people... they are friends that we can honestly say are friends in prayer at all times. we can always count on them to be praying for us, whether we ask them to or not they are just those kind of people... we are very blessed by friends like these! thanks for being those friends in prayer! we feel your prayers in our lives all the time!

balboa day!

we looooovvvveeee our times spent in Balboa..... we went to the beach to enjoy the very very warm weather we were having.... and of course...

topped the day off with BJ's pizza......... and dessert.... yum-yum!
