Details details details.

I love all the fun little details in decorating and personalizing a space in our home. The last huge project for me has been Riley's room. I made a wreath last week out of yarn and felt..... I got some frames I had and spray painted them fun accent colors...... I had this bird cage and spray painted it to coordinate...... The lamp, I added ribbons to it to add a little whimsy.... This has been such a neat project! I can't wait to have our own house soon and paint her room and make the curtains.... Caelans room really is really coming along too. Mary made her quilt and sham, now we are to the point of building another book case since she's filled up the one Eric made her when we moved into this house. I love decorating my kids spaces! And the house. It's been a huge treat to do little projects here and there. Makes a house feel like a home for me. Making things makes it more exciting for me. I'm currently making another quilt. So excited to finish it up! Enjoying these cold fall days of sewing and being indoors!

Pillow cases.

Mary made pillow cases for me, for Riley's bed. She did such a fabulous job on making them! They are exactly what I was dreaming of in my head, and it looks perfect! Thanks nana for making them! Thanks for ruffling the edge for her! She loves it and it looks just perfect.... And thanks for ruffling the rest of the fabric I sent so I can figure out curtains when we have a house that's ours and I know the dimensions. So exciting seeing her room finished up with details like the pillow shams! Thanks again!!!!! Love them! And so appreciative!

It's back!

Oh no! Last year in April Riley got a vicious rash, I do mean vicious!!!! Like, three trips to the ER, fevers, sickness, and a head to toe rash. It lasted for days and days!!!! Well, Riley has a rash and looking back at pictures and posts, it started in the same spot..... Looks the same..... Please Jesus let her wake up on the morning and have it be gone on her arm! Lord, please. Amen.
Now please pray for her, and that it would be gone tomorrow! Please!

First snow is due to come!

Ready, set, go! Snow is coming.

Sacred Heart.

Well, Shriners had us referred to a children's neurologist for Caelan. They mentioned her reflexes were overreactive and there was concern over that..... It seems like they've gone from one thing to the next with our kids. Why do they keep trying new ideas, can't we just decide what to do about the toe walking instead of trying to find a reason why she walks on her toes? Why does there have to be a reason for
It, can't the reason just be, because she wants to walk on her toes...... I do however understand their need to want to fix the cause because sometimes treating something requires investigations of the problem.... I wish I could just allow her to toe walk but they say it's got to be fixed because it's causing imbalance, which is causing clumsiness, and it's hard on her knees, hard on hips and causing a great deal of pain. They want so badly to do surgery but eric and I are very against that idea, still..... So, we jump through hoops, all these appt to please the doctors responsible for her care. We are blessed that there have not been any serious diagnosis through all this, it remains to be an underdeveloped ACL which causes toe walking. The braces they made ate working but when she takes them off, she is right back walking on her toes..... So, we aren't sure they are working to train her brain to stretch that muscle.... So, she'll probably be wearing these a long time. They initially said a year, now we may look at longer. One day at a time and praying God Corrects it. ;) thank u Lord for these braces. Thank u that they didn't even cost is a co-pay. Nothing. A free service. Shriners is amazing. But are they solving the issue, we aren't certain.... So we will pray for wisdom in looking towards Seattle, where we have been referred.... There might be a simpler idea..... Or maybe Not. But for now we are tired of all these appts, all these doctors, and the days of school missed.... And for walking on her toes. Seems like non-sense but it seems to be a big deal, this toe walking can cause really big big big problems later for her. So Jesus, we trust in you. We place her care in your hands. Help guide our steps to help care for her. The right thing will come along, your healing, Lord, do it. U are mighty, and no problem is too big for you.

Package from nana and papa

Yesterday we got a package from Eric's parents. It had a card in it and a huge long strand of ribbons tied to on big long ribbon. The idea is that they are coming for a visit and the girls will un-tie a ribbon for every day and when they get to the last ribbon, they'll be here for the visit. So it's a way to count down. Pretty cute! We are looking forward to them coming. Very thoughtful all the effort that she put into making this thing for the kids! Thanks nana! See y'all soon!

Moses lake visit

I drove out to Moses lake yesterday to see my friend Annie and her kids. I spent the whole day with them, it was so nice to see her and spend time together. It was such a great visit! I feel blessed.

Caelan new kicks!

Here is Lou and her new boots! Praying this works and praying against the surgery.....

Decorated for fall!

Caelans new kicks.

Caelan got some new boots ;) orthotic boots made to fit her. She'll wear them for a year to try and stretch her ACL and get her to stop walking up on her toes. Praying this works. We are sitting in the doctors office waiting for them to bring in the braces/boots. Such a heavy heart for me.... But Caelan is actually happy about this because she's been in so much pain from the underdeveloped ACL, it creates a lot of pain in her knees and hips so walking on her toes releases the pressure.... This will be a painful process wearing the boots but she is so happy she isn't getting plaster casts! We have gone through that a few times and it was a disaster, so this should be better. Fingers crossed and praying lots.....
More posts later. And of course a picture of the boots. I've had so many family members asking for details on all this. Hopefully my next few posts help explain it all. ;) thanks for all of your love and encouragement and of course we appreciate the prayers!
