Verse from 2012

Here was last years verse i held on to all year long. I said this prayer daily. I had a necklace inscribed with the verse on it..... This was last years verse. I will always hold this verse tight. This years verse is such an important one too that I keep re-reading over and over already. That's why I have chose it for our verse of the year. Every year I choose a verse to memorize and pray over my family. I post it in our House as a reminder, my cell phone has it as a screen saver, I put it on our desktop computer screen. Everywhere i leave reminders of our verse for the year....

Verse for the year

New Year's Eve tomorrow

Well. It's New Year's Eve tomorrow.....
Praying 2013 is better than 2012 was. This last year has been by far our hardest year ever.....
Praying for peace in 2013.
Praying for healing.
Praying for good things.....
May we surrender this last year and start a new year.... Clean start, fresh perspective. A whole world out there to embrace each day with new choices, decisions and direction.
May God direct our paths. May we trust His plans and surrender control.
Jesus you have our lives in your hands. May we accept all that 2013 has to offer.

Our trip: part 2 photos

San Francisco trip.

We went to San Francisco for a trip with the girls, the day after Christmas. We went with my dad and Kathy into the city on Thursday after Christmas. The four of us came down with a super bad cold/sinus infection type stuff and came home that night. We just felt super sick :( we saw a bit of the city. We didn't ride the trolley cars, the wait was 2 plus hours.... We didn't do a lot we set out to do. There were so many people!!!! Very crowded! And not feeling well didn't help. We will have to take the girls back some day and make it great when we are healthy. :)

Riley's tea party

We were invited to the girls' tea party lunch today. Some of the most priceless moments. We've all been sick and the girls said they wanted to help out and make lunch today. ;)

New creations

I made a few banners out of ceramics a couple weeks ago. I'm so happy they turned out!
Here is a happy birthday banner we can use all year long to stick in birthday cakes! Loved having it in Jesus' birthday cake this year.
I also made a peace and love banner for our nativity set.

Peace and love..... My prayer for all at Christmas time.

Jesus offers us the love we need, and the peace.

He IS peace and love.....

Loves from Mimi.

We met my mom at Polly's for breakfast Christmas Eve morning. Yummmm! The girls loved the sweet things she handpicked to give them this year. All of it was a huge hit! Legos for Riley! A harry potter DS game for Caelan which she'd been wanting for months (way cool my mom didn't even know, she just thought Caelan would like it, um, SHE loves it!!! So that's awesome stuff).... The girls also got clothes which they put on right away (they wore the fancy skirts to church last night) oh, and the movie Brave, which they watched immediately upon returning home from breakfast. ;) thanks Mimi, for ALL the things you blessed us with. We love you and are very thankful for all you did.

Sweetness

I asked Eric to go to the store for a few items I needed..... He came back with the items carrying these yellow roses. Best thing I could have ever got.....

Just what I needed to lift up my spirits and so thankful he is so in tune with me. That is the best feeling in the world.

We've had a tough holiday season adjusting to life down here.

I've realized a lot of things in the last few days I hadn't realized before. Cried a lot of tears and struggled deeply. These flowers were a huge deal.

Thank you Eric for brightening my day and for loving me in the simplest ways today. Love you.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve service at Yorba Linda Friends was a packed house. People were standing due to lack of chairs! The service was beautiful! the musical talent is off the charts amazing.

happy birthday jesus.
