- we met in college and began dating in 1999. we were married January 6th of 2001. From here, who knows where the journey will go, but, for now we know our family is growing to: 1 couple + THREE kids + 2 dogs = us

Our Adoption Timeline
first began talking about adoption, and knowing God had it on our hearts June of 1999.
waited to act upon that calling.....fast forward 5 agencies and approx 10 years later, we land to 2014....
here is a brief timeline we have from 2012 to current
March 20, 2012
submitted everything to All Gods Children International.
November 4, 2013
Children House International.....
Februrary 11, 2014
switched to International Adoption Guides, they got shut down, right at that time for Corruption
February 12, 2014
requested our paperwork from "America World Adoption" (AWAA)
February 12, 2014
signed up for The Spokane Orphan Summit
February 25, 2014
submitted our on-line PRE-application qualification forms...
February 26, 2014
email confirmation that our family is a "great fit" for the AWAA Ethiopia Program
March 5, 2014
submitted our 13 step application process, after the pre-application was approved, it was on to the next steps...
March 6, 2014
paid our $350 application fees.
March 10, 2014
AWAA requested more info from us... had to submit extended info for our application...
March 12, 2014
got our final acceptance email into AWAA's Ethiopia Program

switched agencies to International Family Services

signed off on all of Yisaks medical issues, signed agency agreement and intent to officially adopt Yisak
motorized forms scanned and sent the following day. via email.

mailed official motorized form for agency agreement and intent to officially adopt Yisak

passports done. waiting for them to be mailed now.

January 5, 2015
picked up the girls' medical clearance forms that were notarized at their pediatricians office (dossier)
picked up our state clearance forms from our home study agency (dossier)
USCIS forms all filled out. just gathering the rest of the money to send it all in. (dossier)
$720 to USCIS
$170 total for both of our fingerprints (homeland security)

got email confirmation of USCIS stuff.... they issued our SIM number and said our paperwork would be mailed within 7-10 days to go get our fingerprinting done!
January 22ish? got letter confirming above.... and said within 3-5 days we will get our appt time and dates mailed

back to Police Station for fingerprinting cards..... FBI in West Virginia called and said it would be 4 months to process.... so sending to another dept in Idaho for clearance....

dossier complete and mailed to Missouri to Randi our coordinator for the Ethiopia program

immunizations done at panhandle health district. typhoid. hep A.
now we wait.... wait for complete funding so our dossier can move forward to washington DC and then on to Ethiopia! praying for funding....
waiting on The JSC grant. and 3 others.....
